How a 21-day gut reset works

A 21-day gut reset is a three-week self-tracking routine where you log your meals, daily fiber and digestive symptoms — bloating, discomfort and energy — then look for the foods that line up with your best and worst days. It is not a cleanse, a detox or a medical treatment. The point is simply to gather enough of your own data that patterns become visible, because gut triggers are highly individual and rarely match a generic "good vs bad foods" list.

How much fiber, and how to add it safely

Most adults are advised to aim for roughly 25–35 grams of fiber a day from whole foods — vegetables, fruit, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds — yet the average intake sits closer to 10–15 grams. The recent "fibermaxxing" trend has pushed many people to raise fiber quickly, but adding a large amount too fast can cause temporary gas or bloating. The gentler approach is to increase fiber gradually and drink plenty of water; for most people early bloating settles within a week or two as the gut adjusts. GutReset21 shows a live fiber bar against a 25–30 gram working target so you can raise it at a comfortable pace.

Foods people commonly track as helpers or triggers

Foods often reported as gut-friendly include fermented options such as yogurt, kefir, kimchi and sauerkraut, plus a wide variety of plants for fiber and polyphenols. Foods people frequently flag as bloating triggers include heavily processed or fried food, sugary drinks, alcohol, and for some individuals dairy or large amounts of certain fermentable fibers. Because these reactions vary so much between people, tracking your own meals against your own symptoms is far more reliable than any fixed list — that is exactly what the tracker above is built to do.

Gut reset — quick answers
What is a 21-day gut reset?

A 3-week stretch where you track meals, daily fiber and symptoms like bloating and energy. GutReset21 scores each day and compares your best vs worst days to surface likely trigger foods.

How much fiber should I eat per day?

Most adults are advised to aim for about 25–35g of fiber daily from whole foods — vegetables, fruit, whole grains, legumes and seeds — versus a typical 10–15g. Raise it gradually and drink plenty of water, since too much too fast can cause short-term bloating. The app shows a live bar against a 25–30g working target.

How does it find my triggers?

After 4+ logged days it splits your days into best and worst halves, then flags foods that appear far more often on worst days as likely triggers.

Is it free and private?

Yes — free, no sign-up, and your logs stay on your own device.
